The Best AI for Social Media Posts in Your Own Voice: We Checked 36 Tools
“Writes posts in your voice” is a promise almost every AI social media tool makes today. We checked 36 of them, from schedulers like Hootsuite and Buffer to AI writers like Jasper and assistants for X and LinkedIn. We didn't read the ads. We read the pricing pages, help docs and feature descriptions on each tool's own website.
The short version: every tool can generate posts, but only a few actually know the author. Below are six signs that tell the two apart, and how many of the 36 tools pass each one.
- 6 of 6 signs
- learns from posts across 5 networks
- works with Telegram
- reads on-screen text
Everyone promises “your voice”. How do you tell the difference?
Most tools work the same way: you describe your tone (“friendly, with a bit of humor”) or paste a couple of examples, and the model writes something similar. That's a post generator with a tone setting. Readers spot these posts fast: the same openers, the same transitions, nothing of the author in them.
An AI that knows the author works differently. It reads everything you've already published, sees what worked, remembers what you've written about, and only then suggests something new. You can check this with six signs.
Sign 1. It learns from your posts, not from a tone description
18 of the 36 tools say outright that they learn from your published posts. The rest ask for a description or a few examples: Jasper, Copy.ai, Writesonic, Predis.ai, Typefully. Ocoya needs a single sentence about your brand.
- learn from published posts - 18
- from a tone description or examples - 14
- don't learn at all - 4
INFLU is in the first group and goes deepest: it learns from five networks at once, not one.
Even among those 18, the differences are huge:
- Taplio sees only 10 past posts when you connect it, and only on LinkedIn.
- Sprout Social takes your 20 highest-engagement posts from the past year.
- Lately promises to learn from everything you've published, but importing your post history is only available on its Enterprise plan, priced on request.
- Agorapulse, Hootsuite and Publer read recent posts from connected accounts.
INFLU imports your posts and their numbers from all your accounts at once and builds a voice breakdown: how you open a post, your rhythm, your words, how you sign off, what you never write about. You can read the whole breakdown.
Sign 2. It sees all your platforms, including Telegram
If you run Telegram alongside a couple of other networks, here is the picture:
- The big schedulers don't see Telegram. Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Later, Agorapulse and Metricool don't support it. Of the 36, only Publer and Ocoya support it directly, and SocialBee does only through its mobile app.
- Most tools know you from one network. VoiceMoat learns from X and LinkedIn, Taplio from LinkedIn, Later from Instagram captions.
None of the 36 claims to build one voice from Telegram, X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube together. INFLU does exactly that: one voice profile from all five platforms. One idea becomes a native post for each network: a thread for X, a post for Telegram, a caption for Instagram, a script for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
Sign 3. It takes your voice from video: speech and on-screen text
For a creator who lives in video, the voice is in what they say and in the text on screen, while the caption is two lines and a few hashtags. A tool that reads only captions builds that voice out of thin air.
Lately, Sprout Social and OpusClip mention video transcription, but they use it to make posts, clips and subtitles, not to learn your voice. None of the 36 says it learns your voice from video, and none says it reads on-screen text.
INFLU transcribes the speech and reads the on-screen text in your TikTok, Instagram and YouTube videos and uses both in your voice breakdown. That's why it writes short-video scripts the way you talk, with lines to say and text for the screen.
Sign 4. It understands what actually worked for you
Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Publer, Loomly, Anyword, Lately and VoiceMoat promise to take post performance into account. Those that explain how pick the “best” posts by engagement.
If you're on one network, that's enough. On several, it's a trap. Engagement differs by nature from network to network: for one of our authors, the median is 3.45% on TikTok, 1.46% on Instagram and 1.39% on Telegram. Pick the “best” posts by the raw number, and your sample ends up almost all TikTok. The AI then learns not from what your followers respond to, but from where people tap like more often in general.
Median engagement per network
Which networks the “top 10” posts come from
- TikTok
- Telegram
INFLU compares each post to the median of its own network: how many times above normal it did there. Posts with obviously broken stats are left out. We didn't find this comparison in any of the 36 tools.
Sign 5. It remembers what you've already covered and finds what's new
Almost every tool suggests post ideas. The trouble is that without memory, an AI suggests what you've already written about, just in different words, and your followers get yesterday's news.
Here's what the others offer:
- Planable suggests new ideas “in the spirit of” your past topics, but doesn't say it checks them for repeats.
- Ocoya watches for repeats only within a single campaign.
- The rest don't claim anything like it.
INFLU builds a map of every topic you've covered, with how many posts and how long ago. It looks for new topics in two ways: gaps in your own map, and fresh events in your niche through web search, because nothing truly new is ever in your archive. It checks every topic against the map before suggesting it and labels what makes it new: a gap, a fresh hook, or a proven angle applied to a new subject.
Sign 6. It writes in your language and doesn't overplay your voice
Modern models have grammar covered. The problem is style: stock phrases and the AI tells readers now recognize instantly. And there's a problem almost nobody talks about: an AI that has picked up your habits starts putting them in every post. A sign-off you use in one post out of three ends up in all of them, and the text turns into a parody of you.
We measure this by comparing how often each phrase appears in INFLU's posts and in the author's own. In July, one author's signature move, answering an imagined critic with “You'll say…”, appeared in 4% of their posts and in 60% of ours. Now code controls how often signature devices appear, and the sign-off shows up in our posts about as often as in the author's: 40% vs. 38%.
INFLU writes in the author's language. We've verified English, Russian and Arabic with measurements and real authors, and right-to-left writing is supported throughout, from the voice breakdown to the finished post. The dashboard is in English and Russian.

Pricing: INFLU vs. the tools that actually learn from your posts
Of the tools on this chart, only Publer costs less than INFLU, and it claims two of the six signs. The rest cost more and do less.
Tools that learn from an author's posts are rarely cheap:
| Tool | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Sprout Social | $99/month per seat | learns from your top 20 posts, no Telegram |
| Hootsuite | $99/month per user, billed yearly | no Telegram |
| Agorapulse | $99/month | Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn |
| Lately | $239/month | post history import only on Enterprise |
| Anyword | $49/month | full post history only on the Business plan |
| VoiceMoat | $35/month | X and LinkedIn only |
| INFLU | $19/month | 5 networks, video, topic map, an honest read on what worked |
There are cheaper tools, such as Buffer from $6 per channel and Publer from $5. But Buffer doesn't learn from your posts at all, and Publer claims two of the six signs.
ChatGPT for social media posts, or INFLU
ChatGPT writes well, but it knows only what you paste into the chat. It doesn't see your posts or their numbers, doesn't remember what you wrote about last month, and doesn't know what works for your audience in particular. ChatGPT prompts for social media posts help, but every time you start almost from scratch. INFLU keeps all of this between posts: your voice, your results, your topic map.
Who INFLU isn't for
If what you mainly need is scheduling and publishing to lots of networks, look at Buffer or Publer.
If you're a creator or a social media manager running Telegram, X, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, especially several at once, INFLU is built for exactly that.
How to try INFLU
- Connect your accounts: Telegram, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube. INFLU pulls in your posts and their numbers, transcribes the speech in your videos and reads the on-screen text.
- Get your voice breakdown and topic map: what you've already written about and what works for you.
- Pick a new topic from the suggestions or bring your own, and get a post in your voice for every platform at once.
Plans start at $19/month, and test credits are available on request from the dashboard.
FAQ
Can AI write social media posts in my voice?
Yes, but check how it does it. 18 of the 36 tools claim to learn from your posts, and the rest write from a tone description. Look at how many posts and which networks a tool learns from, whether it sees your videos, and whether it puts your signature moves in every single post. INFLU learns from all your posts across five networks, including the speech and on-screen text in your videos, and keeps your signature devices at your own frequency.
What's the best AI for social media posts?
It depends on the job. For scheduling and publishing, a scheduler like Buffer or Publer. For posts that sound like you across several networks, INFLU: of the 36 tools we checked, it's the only one that claims all six signs above.
Is there a free AI social media post generator?
AI writing is included in the free plans of Buffer, Metricool and VoiceMoat, but none of them works with Telegram or learns from all your networks. And the tools that really learn from an author's posts tend to be expensive: Sprout Social is $99 per seat, Agorapulse $99, Lately $239.
INFLU starts at $19/month and does what none of them do: it learns from posts across five networks at once, including Telegram and video, remembers what you've already covered, and gives you an honest read on what works. That's one of the best prices on the market for this set of capabilities, and you don't pay for team seats or features you'll never use.
Can I use ChatGPT for social media posts?
You can, but ChatGPT knows only what you paste in. INFLU sees your posts across five networks and their results, remembers what you've covered, and writes in each platform's format right away.
Can AI write TikTok and Reels scripts that sound like me?
Most AI TikTok script generators write from a topic and a tone setting. INFLU learns from your own videos: it transcribes your speech and reads your on-screen text, so its scripts for TikTok, Reels and Shorts sound like you, with lines to say and text for the screen.
Can AI suggest content ideas I haven't covered yet?
Yes, if it knows what you've already written about. INFLU maps your topics, looks for gaps and fresh events in your niche, and checks every idea against the map. There's no ready-made weekly content plan in INFLU yet.
What's the best AI for a Telegram channel?
If you run only Telegram and need scheduling, Publer and Ocoya support it. If you also run X, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, choose INFLU: of the 36 tools we checked, it's the only one that builds one voice from Telegram and all those networks at once.
All 36 tools: who learns from your posts, Telegram support and pricing
The first row of each table is INFLU, for comparison. “Yes” under “Learns from your posts” means the tool says it reads your published posts. “Examples” or “description” means it learns from what you paste in or describe by hand. Price is the cheapest paid plan billed monthly unless noted; “with AI” means the first plan that includes AI when the base plan doesn't.
